In any case, each of our sites is different from the others (in size, location, shade): if you want to be sure to get one that suits your needs, we recommend that you make a reservation.

For apartments, glamping tents and for the villa it is extremely unlikely to find a place without booking, also because we only accept weekly bookings for high and shoulder seasons.

Sometimes the local authorities organise an evening shuttle bus from Lacona to Capoliveri. If you come to Elba without a car to discover the island, you must be prepared to study the connections, walk or cycle, hitchhike. Or walk the entire GTE, stopping off every day at Orti di Mare.

SUSTAINABILITY

For cleaning, we have chosen to use fully biodegradable, Ecolabel and Cradle to Cradle certified products, which do not harm the ecosystem and guarantee the safety of those who use them.

Do you separate waste?

Yes, separate waste collection, out of respect for the environment and the law, is an absolute must for guests of Orti di Mare, who take it very seriously.

The following containers are located in the waste disposal area – at the entrance to Orti di Mare, behind the Market:
GLASS / PLASTIC AND METAL / PAPER AND TETRAPACK / ORGANIC WASTE / MIXED WASTE

The following are also collected: used vegetable oil and spent batteries.

If you have any doubts, you can ask the agritourism staff for information, and they will be happy to help you.

WE WOULD LIKE TO REMIND EVERYONE THAT:

1) Only items that do NOT have their own dedicated bin should be placed in the general waste bin. Therefore, the following items CANNOT be placed in the general waste: glass, plastic, metal, paper, organic waste, used vegetable oil and batteries.
2) Large waste that does not fit into the bins (e.g. parasols) cannot be left at Orti di Mare, but to the nearby ESA waste disposal site.
3) Nappies and bags with animal droppings (which are almost always made of plastic) must be placed in the general waste container.
4) Organic waste must never be left on one’s site within reach of animals.
5) Children may only dispose of their waste directly if they are at least 7 years old and are independent. We have noticed that they often get the wrong bin. We therefore ask you to go with them the first time so that they can learn to do it correctly.
