THE ORGANIC FARM MARRIED TO THE SEA<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

Orti di Mare is a farm tourism complex on the Isle of Elba which offers hospitality\u00a0in a quiet and friendly context,<\/strong>\u00a0just a few metres from\u00a0Lacona beach, one of the longest and finest sandy beaches of the island.<\/strong>\u00a0Lacona is an ideal destination for nature lovers, in and out of the water: it is part of the\u00a0Tuscan Archipelago National Park,<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0surrounded by Europe\u2019s largest marine reserve and the Whale Sanctuary.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The location is spectacular (gently rolling hills as a backdrop and the shallow sea shore in front) and easy to reach from Portoferraio \u2013 15 minutes by car.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

The managers, Britta and Vittorio, love to share with their guests the beauty of this land which\u00a0they have decided to cultivate, respect and make known.<\/strong><\/a>[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent”][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n

The Campsite<\/strong><\/a>, surrounded by greenery, is an integral part of the Farm. It’s located on a gentle hill overlooking the sea. The Beach can be accessed in 5 minutes by foot via a path though the pine trees.<\/p>\n

Large shady spaces underneath the pine trees or pergolas, room for tents and motorhomes, equipped with electricity, toilets, free wi-fi.<\/p>\n

As an alternative to the Camping site, motorhomes can park in the Motorhome<\/strong> Low-cost area<\/strong><\/a>: pitches with electricity, water unloading and loading. No toilets and no showers. Lacona beach can be reached in about 7\/8 minutes on foot.[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent”][vc_column_text css=””]An opportunity to experience camping without giving up comfort<\/strong>, our Glamping Tents<\/strong><\/a> have a kitchen<\/strong>\u00a0and a\u00a0bathroom<\/strong> and are equipped with all one might need.[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent”][vc_column_text css=””]Located\u00a0in the green heart of Orti di Mare<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0a stone\u2019s throw away from Lacona beach<\/strong>, our Apartments<\/strong><\/a> are modern and come with all the amenities<\/strong>.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text css=””]Located at the centre of the mansion Orti di Mare, the Rural Restaurant and Market-Caf\u00e9<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>offers a beautiful view of the the countryside and the hills of Lacona. BRITTA STOLK<\/h3>\n

A German, from Hamburg Britta has lived on Elba for the past seven years.<\/p>\n

After working for many years for major organic farms in northern Germany, she brought all her affections and professionalism to the little world of Orti di Mare.<\/p>\n

She makes our bread, cakes, biscuits, jams and pickles, on sale in the estate\u2019s market caf\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Young, dynamic and creative, Britta contributes a note of elegance and care to each of the farm activities.<\/strong><\/p>\n

VITTORIO RIGOLI<\/h3>\n

The founder of the Orti di Mare estate, Vittorio hails from Milano. A childhood spent in the Como countryside, in Liguria and in Maremma brought him into touch with the farming world which he has never since left. Preservation of nature, bio-diversity, a thorough knowledge of ecosystems and sustainable farming methods are the interests he has tenaciously followed in what is his most important project, the Orti di Mare estate.<\/p>\n

Vittorio is kind and restrained, but at the same time tenacious and meticulous,<\/strong> an entrepreneur able to capture contemporary trends without ever forgetting traditions and the very slow pace of the farming world.<\/p>\n

MARCO VACCA<\/h3>\n

Vittorio\u2019s friend and collaborator, Marco comes from Sardinia.<\/p>\n

Every year, starting in the early winter months, Marco supervises estate activities: care for the land, fertilizing, mulching, pruning, sowing, maintenance jobs and a thousand other tasks on the farm and garaging.<\/p>\n

A hard-working factotum and precious consultant,<\/strong> Marco has chosen to cooperate in Orti di Mare because he shares the organic philosophy of Vittorio and Britta.<\/p>\n

The Orti di Mare estate owes a lot to his intelligence and manual skills.<\/p>\n

CLAUDIA LANZONI<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Freelance journalist and communicator, born in Milan and raised in Parma, she has lived stably on the Isle of Elba with her family for many years.<\/p>\n

After an experience in institutional communication, she now writes and is involved in educational projects centred on the promotion of nature and culture.<\/p>\n

After meeting Vittorio, she decided to team up with him. Like him, she loves to live slow in contact with the simple and overwhelming beauty of Elba.<\/p>\n

Thanks to her innate vocation for web 2.0, Claudia recounts Orti di Mare on all digital media with great passion and success.<\/strong><\/p>\n
